Golf is often about the game, but the best golf journeys are about much more than what happens on the course.
They are about discovering new destinations, sharing great meals, enjoying local attractions, finding time for shopping, celebrating special occasions, and—most importantly—creating memories with friends.
Throughout August 2026, Sugianto Golf Connection had the pleasure of accompanying three different groups on memorable golf journeys across Indonesia. From Jakarta and Bandung to Surabaya, Semarang, and Yogyakarta, each trip offered its own combination of challenging golf courses, beautiful destinations, sightseeing, shopping, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Here is a recap of these journeys beyond the golf course.
GROUP 1 — Jakarta to Bandung Golf Trip
August 5–8, 2026
The first journey brought our guests on a Jakarta–Bandung golf trip, combining golf with the opportunity to experience the atmosphere and attractions of West Java.
The journey was designed to offer more than simply moving from one golf course to another. Between rounds, the group had opportunities to enjoy sightseeing, explore the destination, spend time shopping, and simply relax together.
Day 2 — Jatinangor
The golf adventure continued in Jatinangor, where the group enjoyed another day on the greens.
After golf, the day was also an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. The combination of golf, travel, and time together made the experience feel more like a holiday with friends rather than simply a golf itinerary.
Day 3 — Parahyangan
The next stop was Parahyangan, bringing another beautiful golf experience to the journey.
The course provided a different atmosphere and scenery, giving the group another opportunity to enjoy the diversity of Indonesia’s golf destinations.
But as always, the moments between the golf rounds were just as important—sharing stories, taking photographs, enjoying local experiences, and creating memories together.
Day 4 — Imperial Golf
The Jakarta–Bandung journey concluded with a final round at Imperial Golf.
After several days of golf and travel, the group had plenty of stories to take home. From the fairways to sightseeing and shopping, the trip became a complete travel experience built around friendship and golf.
GROUP 2 — Surabaya Golf & Leisure Journey
August 8–11, 2026
The second group began a new chapter in East Java, combining golf at some of the region’s well-known courses with sightseeing, leisure activities, shopping, and special celebrations.
This trip was particularly memorable because the itinerary wasn’t only about playing golf—it was also about enjoying time together away from the course.
Day 1 — Taman Dayu Golf
The journey began with a round at Taman Dayu Golf.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of East Java, the course provided a spectacular opening to the trip. The group could enjoy the game while taking in the landscape and relaxed atmosphere.
For many golfers, this is what makes a golf holiday special: the opportunity to play somewhere different while experiencing the destination at the same time.
Day 2 — Finna Golf
The golf journey continued at Finna Golf.
Another day on the course meant another opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of laughter.
Away from the fairways, the group also enjoyed time exploring the destination, shopping, and experiencing the local atmosphere.
Day 3 — Ciputra Golf
The final golf day brought the group to Ciputra Golf.
It was more than just the final round of the itinerary—it was a chance to look back on several days of friendship, golf, travel, and shared experiences.
And, of course, no great group trip is complete without a celebration.
A Birthday Celebration to Remember
One of the highlights of this overall journey was a birthday celebration shared among the group.
After spending days travelling and playing golf together, gathering around the birthday celebration created a completely different kind of memory.
There was no scorecard, no tee time, and no competition—just smiles, conversations, photographs, and laughter.
These are the moments that often become the most treasured memories of a golf trip.

GROUP 3 — Singapore Golf Journey
August 8–11, 2026
The third group travelled from Singapore to Indonesia for a golf journey covering Semarang and Yogyakarta.
The itinerary brought together three different golf experiences while also giving the group time to discover destinations beyond the golf course.
For international golfers, this combination is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience Indonesia—play golf during the day and discover the culture, sights, food, and atmosphere of each destination afterward.
Day 1 — Royal Semarang Golf
The journey began with a round at Royal Semarang.
The group started their Indonesian golf adventure surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Central Java.
The first day set the tone for the journey: good golf, good company, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the destination.
Day 2 — Black Eagle Golf
The second day brought the group to Black Eagle.
The golfers continued their journey while enjoying another unique course experience.
Between golf sessions, the group had time to relax, explore, take photographs, and enjoy each other’s company.
Day 3 — Merapi Jogja
The final golf experience took the group toward Yogyakarta, with a round at Merapi Jogja.
With the iconic Mount Merapi area as part of the surrounding landscape, this destination added another memorable dimension to the trip.
The final day was not simply about finishing the golf itinerary. It was about enjoying the last moments of the journey together before heading home.
Beyond the Fairways
What made these August journeys special was the variety of experiences outside the golf courses.

Multiple courses across Jakarta, Bandung, East Java, Semarang, and Yogyakarta gave every group the opportunity to experience different landscapes and playing environments.
Sightseeing
The journeys also included opportunities to discover iconic sights and local destinations, providing a glimpse of Indonesia beyond the golf course.
Shopping
Shopping became another enjoyable part of the itineraries, giving guests time to explore local products, souvenirs, and the atmosphere of each destination.
Birthday Celebration
A special birthday celebration added an emotional highlight to the journey, bringing everyone together for an occasion worth remembering.
Friendship & Laughter
Perhaps the most valuable part of all was the time spent together.
From photographs on the golf course to conversations over meals, sightseeing adventures, and spontaneous moments of laughter, these experiences turned a golf trip into a genuine holiday with friends.

From Jakarta and Bandung, through East Java, and onward to Semarang and Yogyakarta, these August 2026 journeys showcased the incredible variety that Indonesia can offer to travelling golfers.
For Group 1, it was a Jakarta–Bandung adventure filled with golf, sightseeing, shopping, and time together.
For Group 2, it was an East Java golf journey featuring Taman Dayu, Finna, and Ciputra, combined with leisure and a memorable birthday celebration.
For Group 3, our guests from Singapore experienced Central Java and Yogyakarta through rounds at Royal Semarang, Black Eagle, and Merapi Jogja.
Yet despite the different destinations and itineraries, all three journeys shared the same spirit:
